Starting as a Germanic language spoken by a small tribe in Europe, the English language has grown to become a global language.
In celebration of UN English Language Day, this event will highlight the widespread use of English around the world. It will showcase the countries where English is spoken, discuss the regional diversity in pronunciation and usage of English words and phrases, and examine the vital role English plays in connecting people globally.
