Dr Sencar joined Cyber Security group at QCRI in 2019. Previously, he was an Associate Professor in the Computer Engineering Department at the TOBB University, Ankara, Turkey. From 2012-2015, he served as the director of the CCS-AD, a research center of NYUAD established as an extension of NYU New York’s cyber security center.
Dr. Sencar's research has primarily focused on building and implementing advanced forensic capabilities that relate to extraction, search and organization, attribution, and authentication of digital evidence. At QCRI, he continues to focus on building systems and tools to solve real world security problems.
