A new generation of young, digitally-savvy Muslim millennials who are increasingly embedded inside these cyber-networks has sparked complex and contradicting effects. This talk will discuss how some of these trends have specifically impacted Muslims throughout the world.
Dr. Hira Amin completed her PhD in History at the University of Cambridge. Her work focuses on Muslims in Britain, Islam in cyberspace, transnational networks, and global Muslim trends from the 19th century onwards. She is currently a Visiting Associate Professor at the College of Islamic Studies at Hamad Bin Khalifa University.
