Halima Egueh, is a self-taught web developer in the making, who is passionate about everything visual in the field of technology, from web development and user interface design, to data visualization. Egueh holds a Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M University. Her previous training in the oil industry gave her the opportunity to process and work with large data.
Maram Hasanain is a research assistant and a PhD candidate at the Computer Science and Engineering Department at Qatar University. Hassanain’s work focuses on problems related to evaluation, ad-hoc search, filtering, summarization and question answering over tweets and the web. Her research interests include information retrieval (IR) over tweets with special focus on Arabic text.
After graduating with B.Sc. in computer science from Qatar University in 2014, Reem Suwaileh joined the bigIR team and the Computing Master program. She has previously worked as a research assistant, where she assisted on ArTest and BigGraphs NPRP projects. Since then, her scholarly focus is on constructing Arabic datasets and test collections. Her research interests involve, social media analysis; specifically on real-time tweet tracking and summarizations.
Rachael Fernandez completed her MSc in Computing at Qatar University and is currently working as a Senior Research Assistant at the KINDI Center for Computing Research. She works in the domain of Information Visualization and has been awarded two grants for her research in the visualization of cybersecurity data. She is also interested in Visual Analytics.
