People CPP Participates at 36th Eurasian Business and Economics Society Conference in Istanbul
Dr. Ozcan Ozturk, Assistant Professor at the College of Public Policy (CPP) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, attended a conference organized by the Eurasian Business and Economics Society at Kadir Has University in Istanbul from August 4-7, 2020. The event brought together many distinguished keynote speakers and researchers in the fields of economics, finance, and business from all over the world.
The conference began with a keynote session titled “How COVID-19 can help us build a better society” by Dr. Klaus F. Zimmermann from Maastricht University, The Netherlands; Dr. Marco Vivarelli from Universita Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milano, Italy; and Dr. Dorothea Schäfer from Jönköping University, Sweden. The conference was followed by a series of presentation sessions covering different fields including economics, finance, tourism, entrepreneurship, and innovation.
Dr. Ozturk presented two papers titled “Determinant Factors of Foreign Direct Investment in Qatar” with Reem Al Hababi, a current Master of Public Policy student at CPP, and “Entrepreneurship for Economic Diversification of Qatar” with Dr. Evren Tok, Associate Professor at the College of Islamic Studies. The papers are expected to be published before the end of 2020 by the Eurasian Business Review and Eurasian Economic Review Journals, which are both SCCI and Scopus-listed journals.
