Biography

Dr. Mahmoud Alhirthani has been in the field of translation for the last twenty five years. He has been teaching translation, conducting research on translation and translating from English into Arabic. Dr. Alhirthani has a good number of refereed research papers and books published in well-renowned and award-winning cultural venues in and outside the Arab World.

Dr. Alhirthani is a translation teacher and consultant with a wide variety of courses taught at graduate and postgraduate level. He is experienced in administration as a leader of study teams and teaching staff as well as executing workshops and participating in conference committees. He has experience in course and program designing for students at undergraduate and graduate levels. Dr. Alhirthani has refereed a good number of postgraduate theses in translation and intercultural studies, locally and internationally.
