The Promising Future of Chemoprevention in Breast Cancer | Hamad Bin Khalifa University
Qatar Biomedical Research Institute

Despite medical advancements, breast cancer remains a pressing concern, with a 20% increase in reported cases since 2008. In 2020 alone, 2.3 million cases were documented, leading to an annual death toll of 685,000. Hormonal factors and lifestyle choices contribute significantly to this rise, alongside genetic predispositions like BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutations.

This seminar will provide the latest insights into Chemoprevention, an emerging strategy, that offers promise in reducing the risk of cancer for both sporadic and inherited breast cancers.
