Dr. Udeogu Onwusogh, water portfolio leader at Qatar Shell Research & Technology Center, will give an overview of the Pearl GTL effluent treatment plant (ETP) that treats water from the Fischer-Tropsch and other processes. The plant’s capacity exceeds 45,000 m3/d and maintains zero liquid discharge, providing water for cooling and boiler feed and making the GTL process reliant on the ETP. The talk will also include the challenges facing the management of bio-sludge, salt, and excess water produced seasonally.
The seminar will be conducted in English.
