Lawal Exhibition by Kamal Naji Mohamad | HBKU

The exhibition aims to bridge the gap between the past, present, and future; and to raise young people’s awareness about life in the past, and about local and international antique collections. The local section will exhibit items such as traditional Qatari clothes and dresses and historical books about Qatar that date back more than 200 years, written in both Arabic and English languages.

As part of the exhibition, Mohamad will give visitors a detailed explanation about his collections, organize live black and white photographing sessions, and host a live cinema to present old movies. Additionally, the exhibition will give visitors more information about the history of Qatar, educate them about the importance of exhibiting collections, and help tell the story of the past, before the invention of more modern technological devices.
