Saif Al-Kuwari

Saif Al-Kuwari is the director of the Department of Information Technology and the acting director of the Department of Archiving and Documents at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Qatar, where he holds the diplomatic grade of Minister Plenipotentiary. He is also an associate professor at the College of Science and Engineering (CSE) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Qatar.

Dr. Al-Kuwari holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Computers and Networks from the University of Essex, UK (2006), and two PhDs in computer science from the University of Bath, UK (2012) and Royal Holloway, University of London, UK (2012). He has received several awards, including two platinum awards for outstanding academic performance and two MESA-CISO100 Government Security Leader awards.

Dr. Al-Kuwari is a fellow of both the Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) and the British Computer Society (BSC), as well as a senior member of IEEE and ACM. He is also a member of the International Association for Cryptologic Research (IACR) and the Mathematical Association of America (MAA). Since 2013, he has also served as a member of Qatar's National Information Security Committee.
