السيرة الذاتية
Dr. Horn received his Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology in 2003 from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. His dissertation work looked at the role of cell cycle regulatory proteins in centrosome duplication. For his post-doctoral fellowship he joined Professor Karen Vousden at the Beatson Institute for Cancer Research in Glasgow, UK where he studied the role of ribosomal stress in activating the tumor suppressor p53 pathway. From 2008 until 2014 he worked with Professors Colin Stewart and Brian Burke at the Institute of Medical Biology in Singapore. There he analyzed several mouse models of nuclear envelope proteins, and elucidated novel roles for these proteins in gametogenesis as well as hearing loss. Dr. Horn has been an Assistant Professor at HBKU since September 2014.
