This lecture is the next installment of the “Sīrah of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH in the World’s Languages” lecture series organized by the Digital Sīrah Project.

This session provides an overview of Sirah writings in the Malay language, documenting the history and life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) from historical texts to contemporary works. A brief critical appraisal is given of Malay prose, poetry, and other forms of literature that describe the Prophet’s (PBUH) qualities.

The main focus is on contemporary Sirah writings in various styles and forms, ranging from educational to political analysis of the Sirah, and the graphical representations of key events in the Sirah.
