According to the International Diabetes Federation hundreds of millions of people worldwide are living with diabetes. 

Promising advances to treat diabetes are currently emerging based upon exciting new stem cell research. The Qatar Biomedical Research Institute (QBRI) and Harvard Stem Cell Institute (HSCI) launched a collaborative effort in 2018 to develop cell-based therapies to treat diabetes.  

This yearly symposium provides a platform for experts to discuss the latest research and breakthroughs on diabetes and stem cell biology. The event will be held online Via Zoom on the 10th of January 2022.
