This webinar will highlight the importance of sustainable practices in energy management, focusing on electric vehicle (EV) charging and energy-efficient building solutions. It aims to raise awareness of the steps we can all take toward a sustainable future, including implementing energy-saving technologies in our everyday lives.

The session will cover two key areas:

• First, understanding the impact of fast EV charging on power grids. Given the growing popularity of electric vehicles, new challenges are arising for power grids. Fast EV chargers can cause sudden spikes in energy demand, leading to potential strain on the grid, and so impacting its stability. This webinar will explain the importance of managing these challenges, through strategies that ensure reliable electricity supply while supporting Qatar’s sustainability goals.
• Second, innovative thermostat technology for energy saving. The heat index thermostat is an energy-efficient device designed to make buildings more comfortable while saving energy. By adjusting air conditioning settings based on humidity and temperature, this thermostat helps maintain a comfortable indoor environment without wasting energy. Participants will learn how small changes in their home or workplace can lead to big energy savings, helping reduce Qatar’s overall energy consumption.
