Today, scientists, artists, designers, media experts, business and technology innovators, etc. are actively exploring the potential uses of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to enable machines to help and produce creative visual content such as advertisements, product designs, or even paintings, etc.
Producing art content is challenging due to the joint complexity of aesthetic, cultural, contextual, and perceptual considerations. In this talk, our speakers from HBKU with relevant research and professional experiences, will share their latest ideas, views, technologies, and work on how AI could help create original, aesthetic and meaningful content for visual artworks and cultural businesses.
Controversially, these breakthroughs may redefine our usual concepts about art and the landscapes of related art communities, and even trigger debatable issues about the definition of arts, ownerships, values, ethics, etc. Can AI really make Art? Is AI a friend or enemy to human creativity?
