Student Affairs at Hamad Bin Khalifa University presents a video competition to encourage HBKU students to stay creative while maintaining self-quarantine and highlight their support of the Qatari and international community during these extraordinary circumstances.
Participation:
You can participate by filming a video capturing one or more of the below themes and sending it via WeTransfer to student.engagement@hbku.edu.qa.
Video Themes:
- How to protect yourself and spend your time beneficially during quarantine
- Household items to recycle or repurpose and how to live a sustainable life during this time
- How to take advantage of your surroundings to keep up your sports activities
Duration:
Students can submit their videos from Thursday, April 9, 2020 to Sunday, April 19, 2020
Competition Terms:
- The competition is open to all current HBKU students.
- Videos can be recorded using a smartphone or a professional camera.
- Students can participate with more than one video; however, each video must include one theme.
- The video should not exceed one minute.
- The audio must be of good quality.
- Videos must be submitted via the WeTransfer link with the (name, mobile, email, student ID, program, and college).
- The last day for submitting videos is Sunday, April 19, 2020
Prizes:
A total of QAR 15,000 in cash prizes will be awarded.
- The first-place winners of each of the three themes will be awarded QAR 3,000 each.
- The second-place winners of each of the three themes will be awarded QAR 2,000 each.
Competition Jury:
All videos will be presented to a jury from Student Affairs and the results will be announced on Monday, April 20, 2020 by email.

- Coherence of ideas
- Coherence of video sequence (Transition)
