By focusing on inner development as the foundation of external progress, the initiative offers a roadmap to a future where human potential is fully realized, and the goals of a prosperous, sustainable, and inclusive world are within our reach. Through the lens of the Inner Development Goals, the path forward is not only visible but vibrant with possibility, inviting us all to embark on this journey of transformation and hope.
In the heart of Doha, nestled within the corridors of the College of Public Policy, a pioneering initiative unfolds, marking a new chapter in the quest for sustainable and meaningful progress. This initiative, Hadaba, has become the first official Inner Development Goals (IDG) Hub in Doha, marking a step towards greater transformation.
The IDGs, championed by a non-profit organization dedicated to inner growth, stand as pillars in the development of our collective future. Through rigorous research and a commitment to science-based methodologies, IDGs illuminate the path to living purposefully, sustainably, and productively. The establishment of the IDG Hub in Doha and the collaborative efforts of its founding members underscores a profound commitment to nurturing the internal capacities necessary for sustainable development.
At the core of this groundbreaking work lies the Inner Development Goals framework, a
meticulously crafted matrix of 5 dimensions encompassing 23 skills and qualities.
These elements are not only vital for leaders striving to achieve the Sustainable
Development Goals (SDGs) but are also foundational for every individual aspiring to
contribute meaningfully to our world. The IDG framework emerges as the most potent
catalyst in our collective journey towards achieving the SDGs, promising a future
where prosperity is shared by all humanity.
The creation of the IDGs is a testament to the power of collaboration and shared vision.
Since its inception, the initiative has thrived on co-creation,
drawing on the wisdom and expertise of a diverse array of experts, scientists,
practitioners, and organizations from across the globe. The publication of
the first IDG report in 2021 marked a significant milestone, laying bare the
initiative's methodology, background, and the transformative potential of its framework.
Under the stewardship of Dr. Evren Tok, the IDG Qatar Policy Design Hub has flourished, uniting minds from prestigious institutions both within Qatar and internationally. This coalition of thought leaders, including individuals from Hamad Bin Khalifa University, Northumbria University, University College London, and the University of Cambridge, to name a few, reflects the hub's commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation.
