مما يتطلبه الواقع المعاصر في العمل الدعوي وجود الداعية القائد الذي يمتلك عقلًا ذكيًّا، وقلبًا نقيًّا، وخطوةً صائبةً يقود بها الركب، فيهديه ويسدده وينميه ويرشده، ولقد كان النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم مثالاً كاملاً يُحتذى به في جميع المجالات، ومنها الدعوة والقيادة، فهو المعلم والمربِّي والناصح والداعي إلى الله بالحكمة والموعظة الحسنة على هدى وبصيرةٍ من ربِّه.

Contemporary reality of the preaching activity requires a leading Imam who has a sharp mind, pure heart and righteous moves to lead and guide people. Our prophet (PBUH) was really a great role model in all fields including preaching and leadership. He was an insightful Imam, educator and guide to the way of Allah, who acted wisely and provided good advice deriving guidance and insight from His Lord. 

استعرض طلاب جامعيون يدرسون في الجامعات التابعة لمؤسسة قطر وباحثون يعملون في المؤسسة دورهم في الإدارة البيئية خلال سباق للأفكار أقيم بعنوان "الإسلام والاستدامة وبصمتي الكربونية". قدَّم هذا السباق مجلس المبدعين، وهي منصة تابعة لكلية الدراسات الإسلامية في جامعة حمد بن خليفة، بالشراكة مع شركة قطر غاز. وكانت هذه الفعالية أول تعاون استراتيجي بين الكلية والشركة في إطار برنامج "Go Green" للتوعية البيئية الذي أطلقته شركة قطرغاز.

Qatar Foundation university students and researchers demonstrated their environmental stewardship at an Ideathon on “Islam, Sustainability and My Carbon Footprint”. It was presented by Maker Majlis, a platform under the College of Islamic Studies (CIS) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), in partnership with Qatargas. The event is the first of the college’s strategic collaborations as part of the Qatargas Go Green Environmental Awareness Program.

At a recent seminar, co-hosted by the College of Public Policy and College of Law, Jonathan Powell, Britain’s former chief negotiator in Northern Ireland and chief-of-staff under Prime Minister Tony Blair discussed points from his book, “Talking to Terrorists: How to End Armed Conflicts”.

Drawing on lessons learned from conflicts around the world, including Afghanistan and Iraq, Powell argued that there is no alternative to inclusive peace negotiations in any conflict. This applies as much to radical Islamist groups as it did to earlier armed groups.

Some have claimed that the end of the COVID-19 pandemic may be near, finally bringing some positive news more than two years after the virus first emerged.

Since the first positive case at the end of 2019, more than 460 million people worldwide have been infected, leading to over 6 million COVID-related deaths. Economies and businesses have taken a huge hit, while mental health has become a larger concern due to months of lockdowns and restrictions.
