The Executive Education Center (EEC), part of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), has delivered another module in its Leadership Empowerment Program, developed in cooperation with the Regulatory Authority for Charitable Activities (RACA) for mid-level managers and leader practitioners.

The module, titled “Problem Solving and Making Smart Decisions”, was the third in the executive training program, and was presented from May 10-11 to a group of 30 participants from different charitable institutions.

The EEC designed the program to meet the requirements of RACA’s Human Competencies Framework. It focuses on the behaviors and skills necessary for effectively performing specialized roles. After successful completion of all five modules, participants will be awarded Executive Leadership Certificates from the EEC.

The session was presented by Dr. Abdalla Jawdat Rezqalla, Managing Director and General Supervisor of Media Masters Pro Company, Kuwait, and a professional consultant and trainer. During the session, Dr. Rezqalla covered the foundations and rules for making decisions, policies for dealing with data and information, methods of comparing and selecting alternatives, as well as an in-depth study of the decision environment. As with previous modules, the workshop had theoretical, conceptual, and applied practical aspects. Participants were engaged in interactive challenges to demonstrate techniques to improve their critical thinking, situational analysis, and how they develop solutions to problems or make decisions in different circumstances.

Speaking after the workshop, EEC Executive Director, Aphrodite Hammad, said: “We are very pleased with our participants’ positive responses to the third module, which offered actionable knowledge they can implement within their organizations. Our aim through this tailored training program with RACA is to help local organizations embed a culture of professionalism by implementing best leadership practices. The program illustrates the EEC’s commitment to providing specialized programs that develop the managerial and leadership skills for key national organizations to enhance their efficiency and performance.”
