Sponsored Research Office Presents IP Workshops with QNRF

The Sponsored Research Office (SRO), part of the Office of the Vice President for Research, in collaboration with Qatar National Research Fund (QNRF), held a series of Intellectual Property (IP) workshops during June 2022. The workshops targeted the Lead Principal Investigators (LPIs) of projects awarded under QNRF’s National Priorities Research Program (NPRP) 13th cycle. 

Sessions aimed at raising awareness among the faculty and researchers towards the importance of IP identification and protection when dealing with research projects, including those funded by QNRF. The workshop covered topics such as the types of IP disclosure, IP protection laws, and the types of research IP outcomes. The workshop also highlighted IP questions in QNRF proposals and their associated project progress reports.
