Italian students and faculty at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) recently met with His Excellency Pasquale Salzano the Italian Ambassador to Qatar. The HBKU delegation received an invitation from His Excellency to discuss the university’s programs, current research being conducted, and future academic cooperation between Italy and Qatar. The HBKU delegation was led by Dr. Roberto Di Pietro from the College of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE), and Dr. Chiara Chiellini, Research Development Specialist, who discussed ongoing research on cybersecurity. Five of the eight students comprising the delegation are pursuing PhDs in Computer Science and Engineering, and Sustainable Energy at HBKU. CSE is a world-class multidisciplinary college that aims to make a significant impact in the fields of science, engineering, and technology. Through three divisions covering Sustainable Development, Information and Communications Technology, and Engineering Management and Decision Sciences, the college aims to drive solutions with visible impact. HBKU is a multicultural community of students, staff, and faculty who are committed to affecting positive change wherever they go.
