Establishing joint cooperation across various technical and administrative fields, Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) and Qatar Post (Q-Post) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) earlier this week. The initiative seeks to establish a common vision and build on the objectives of fostering a culture of knowledge sharing within the Qatari economy – all with the aim of strengthening national and economic self-reliance.
The signing ceremony was attended by senior representatives of both organizations, including President of HBKU Dr. Ahmad M. Hasnah; Chairman of the Board and Managing Director of Q-Post Mr. Faleh Al-Naemi; Vice President of Operations at HBKU Engineer Soud Abdulaziz Al-Tamimi; and Chief of Operation at Q-Post Mr. Hamad Al-Fahida.
As an integral backbone of Qatar’s economy, Q-Post provides Qatar’s residents and businesses with a nation-wide network of postal service coverage. Q-Post launched its first e-commerce platform “Connected” back in 2016. The company continues to build on national economic self-reliance through its initiatives today.
HBKU fosters values that are paramount to the success and prosperity of Qatari society, the region, and beyond. Four distinctive colleges house all of the University’s dynamic, multidisciplinary programs, with special emphasis on master’s and doctoral degrees.
While HBKU offers unique access to world-renowned academia and research, Q-Post serves as a direct communication link between Qatar and the world. Qatar’s economy is strengthened when two of its local institutions join in building a culture of knowledge-sharing and cooperative exchange – vital building blocks for the achievement of the State of Qatar’s intended goals.
