Hamad Bin Khalifa University, a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development, will soon close applications for its third annual “Gateway to College” summer program.
The innovative one-week program, running this year from August 30th till September 3rd, is aimed at fostering teamwork, innovative thinking, and entrepreneurship among high school students, preparing them to make the best out of their upcoming university years.
In partnership with Qatar Science and Technology Park, students at this year’s intensive workshops will be confronted with a variety of business challenges, and, with guidance from their instructors, will be responsible for finding and assessing solutions.
Mana Al-Ansari from HBKU Student Recruitment commented: “It is a unique opportunity for high school students to learn these skills directly from staff, students and alumni from HBKU and its partner universities. Students who were away on holiday during the summer season will have the opportunity of an extended application deadline”.
Online registration will be kept open until Wednesday 26 August and interested students are invited to visit www.hbku.edu.qa/sp2015 to apply or call 44541702 for further information.
