Executive Education Center enters new era with strategic partnership in support of Oman’s future leaders in the public and private sector
Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) Executive Education Center (EEC) signed an agreement with Oman’s Royal Academy of Management to deliver a specialized leadership module within the Future Leaders Programme to 50 young and promising Omani professionals from across the public and private sectors.
To design the module and contribute to the wider program’s content, HBKU leveraged applicable insights from regional and international public and private sectors to craft a curriculum that helps Omani professionals enhance their leadership capabilities and inspire them to pursue continuous learning. The university also drew from the collective expertise of the Qatar Foundation (QF) Education City ecosystem to ensure the curriculum captured best practices across a variety of fields critical to leadership development.
Commenting on the agreement, Dr. Fathiya Al Rashdi, Vice President for Programme Affairs, Royal Academy of Management, said: “This strategic partnership exemplifies the close relations that exist between Oman and Qatar. Our collaboration with HBKU combines the expertise of leaders from both countries in order to bolster Oman’s human development efforts. With a module designed to imbue promising Omani professionals with an appreciation for lifelong self-development, we are helping to achieve the strategic goals outlined in Oman Vision 2040.”
Noting the significance of this module, Mohamed Omer M Abuelgasim, Executive Director, EEC, added: “This marks the beginning of a new chapter for the EEC, as it enters a strategic partnership with the renowned Royal Academy of Management to directly support Oman’s human development efforts. We are committed to facilitating expertise and building capacity in Qatar and throughout the region by preparing future leaders to shape novel solutions that make a positive impact globally.”
The Royal Academy of Management created the Future Leaders Programme to reinforce Oman’s leadership pipeline and strengthen the leadership capabilities of the country’s professionals. The program is currently hosting 50 professionals under 34 years of age from Oman’s public and private sectors, including small and medium enterprises as well as startups.
The “Pioneer” module’s comprehensive curriculum covers critical fields for promising Omani professionals looking to advance their careers and organizations, including change management, strategic thinking and strategy formulation.
