Eng. Hamad Mohammed Al Kuwari

Eng. Hamad Al Kuwari serves as the Vice President of Finance and Administration at Hamad Bin Khalifa University and the Chairman of the Joint Advisory Board of Qatar Academy Sidra, a pre-university International Baccalaureate (IB) institution affiliated with Qatar Foundation.

With over 23 years of experience in project management, business improvement, innovation, and leadership, Eng. Al Kuwari has developed broad expertise across the oil and gas industry, industrial sectors, and service operations. He assumed the role of Executive Director of City Operations in October 2016, having been at Qatar Foundation for more than 16 years. In this capacity, he was responsible for the strategic and operational management of Facilities and Infrastructure, General Services, Security, Sidra Facilities Services, and the Integrated Transportation System.

Before his tenure at City Operations, Eng. Al Kuwari spent eight years at Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) serving as Managing Director for four years. His professional journey also includes key engineering and project management positions at ORYX GTL and Qatar Energy. Eng. Al Kuwari earned his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from McNeese State University in the United States, and he holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with honors from Qatar University.
