Research within this group aims to elucidate the mechanisms underlying a number of neurodegenerative diseases including Parkinson's disease and dementia. This knowledge is used as a base to develop systems to improve clinical prognoses and to enable future research within the field. Much of this work incorporates the search for novel therapeutic targets and biomarkers to enable earlier, more accurate detection of disease.
