Biography
Dr. Salam Salloum-Asfar received her Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Pharmacy from the University of Valencia, Spain. She pursued her master’s and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Molecular Medicine in the Department of Hematology and Oncology at the University of Murcia, Spain. She then obtained an international PhD and was awarded the Extraordinary Doctorate Award.
Dr. Salloum-Asfar was granted a postdoctoral fellowship from the Spanish Society of Hematology and Hemotherapy.
She joined Qatar Biomedical Research Institute (QBRI) in 2018 as a postdoctoral researcher. Dr. Salloum-Asfar is involved in several projects related to Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental disorders.
