The Sponsored Research Office (SRO) was launched in December 2016 under the Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) Vice President for Research Office. The SRO contributes to HBKU’s academic and research mission through the provision of pre-award and post-award management for all sponsored research projects.
Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU’s) Innovation Center is a pioneering initiative that is designed to foster entrepreneurship and creativity. The hub serves as a platform for connecting and sharing ideas, people, resources, and expertise – providing an opportunity for collaboration.
HBKU Innovation CenterThe Signature Research Program (SRP) is a new platform launched by the Office of the Vice President for Research (OVPR) aiming to promote innovative and impactful research through cross-entity interdisciplinary collaboration within HBKU and beyond. Through a shared vision, objectives, framework and resources (see diagram below), the program aims to develop an ongoing set of well-integrated research clusters that will carve out distinctive research areas for HBKU in the region and internationally, and to make HBKU a hub to attract and develop talent.
HBKU Signature Research GrantThis Program, which is funded by the office of HBKU Vice President for Research and led by Sr. Planning and Research Director, focuses on supporting HBKU researchers to tackle pressing scientific challenges in alignment with the University’s Thematic Research Focus Areas. In addition, the program promotes collaboration amongst researchers across HBKU colleges and research institutes to optimize impact and enhance the use of resources.
