Dr. Yin "David" Yang is currently an assistant professor in the Division of Information and Communication Technologies, College of Science and Engineering, HBKU. He also holds adjunct positions at Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI) and Singapore's Advanced Digital Sciences Center. His main research interests include big data analytics, cloud computing, database security and privacy. He has published extensively in top venues on differentially private data publication and analysis, and on query authentication in outsourced databases. In addition, he has designed efficient query processing methods in various contexts, including data streams, relational keyword search, spatial databases, web portals, and wireless sensor networks. He is now working actively on cloud-based big data analytics, with a focus on real-time stream processing.
