Biography

Dr. Kashif Rasool is a sustainability and environmental scientist at the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute (QEERI). He earned his PhD in Environmental and Energy Engineering from the College of Civil and Environmental Engineering at Kyungpook National University, Korea. 

His recent research focuses on the synthesis of novel green nanomaterials for water/wastewater purification and investigating microbial components of particulate matter in Qatar indoor and ambient air and its impact on public health. Dr. Rasool’s research efforts to date have been published in over 45 peer-reviewed articles in leading journals. 

He is on review panels of several high-impact journals including ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, Chemosphere, the Journal of Hazardous Material, the Chemical Engineering Journal, and Bioresource Technology.
