Biography
Dr. Geoffrey Hicks is a passionate, experienced HSSE professional committed to transformative health and safety management. He holds a Doctorate in Chiropractic Medicine Degree, a Diploma of Technology in Occupational Health and Safety from BCIT (British Columbia), and an Instructors Diploma from Vancouver Community College. He is a Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP), and is a member of the American Society of Safety Professionals (ASSP).
Dr. Hicks previously volunteered in Liberia, West Africa where he served as a teacher, and designed and installed solar power and water supply engineering projects.
Geoffrey has worked for the University of British Columbia chemical research laboratories, in provincial and municipal government agencies, and in the healthcare, mining and forestry sectors. The QEERI HSSE Team is passionate and committed to achieving the best possible outcome for health and safety, and protection of the environment.
