Biography
Dr. Prince Kumar Baranwal is currently working as a Postdoc at the Corrosion Center, QEERI-HBKU, Qatar Foundation, focusing on pipeline integrity management, corrosion inhibition, hydrogen embrittlement-based industry projects, and utilizing electrochemical techniques (polarization, impedance, galvanic corrosion), mechanical tests and complementary analytical techniques such as SEM, EDS, XRD, Profilometry, EBSD, and hydrogen analyzer for the study. He has a demonstrated research experience in corrosion monitoring and testing, failure analysis and risk assessment, and has worked in several industry-driven projects based on overhead corrosion in refineries, high temperature naphthenic acid and sulfur corrosion of opportunity crudes, aqueous CO2 and H2S corrosion, organic corrosion inhibitors, anti-corrosion coatings, etc.
He also has a rewarding experience in teaching core Chemical Engineering subjects such as chemical reaction engineering and heat transfer, including organizing scientific conferences and events. He is enthusiastic about applied research and enjoys photography, travelling and playing cricket.
