Qatar Biomedical Research Institute (QBRI), part of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), conducted a series of community outreach activities and events to mark World Autism Awareness Month – observed throughout the month of April – and raise autism awareness among the wider community. 

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder characterized by impairments in communication and social interaction, as well as restricted and repetitive behavior. Early diagnosis and behavioral rehabilitation are key to easing the effects of autism. 

استضاف معهد قطر لبحوث الطب الحيوي، التابع لجامعة حمد بن خليفة، مؤخرًا، "الندوة الأولى حول الأمراض العصبية التنكسية: الابتكارات في اكتشاف المؤشرات الحيوية لتطوير الطب الشخصي،" التي استعرضت تطور المؤشرات الحيوية واكتشافها بهدف علاج الأمراض العصبية التنكسية. 

وجمعت الندوة ما بين أطباء سريريين وباحثين محليين ودوليين من مختلف الخلفيات المهنية والتعليمية، لمناقشة مواضيع متنوعة من خلال سلسلة من حلقات النقاش والعروض التقديمية. وكان من بين النقاط الأساسية التي طُرِحت للنقاش في الندوة تطوير وسائل تشخيصية لأمراض باركنسون والزهايمر.

Qatar Biomedical Research Institute (QBRI), part of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), recently hosted the First Symposium on Neurodegenerative Diseases: Innovations in Biomarker Discovery Towards Personalized Medicine, which provided a comprehensive overview of the development and discovery of biomarkers to treat neurodegenerative diseases.

Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI), part of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), is to host a Creative Space Fair on Saturday, April 27. The fair aims to promote science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines among children, teenagers, and adults through innovative learning activities.

اختتم مجلس طلاب كلية الدراسات الإسلامية، التابعة لجامعة حمد بن خليفة، بنجاح مؤتمره البحثي الطلابي السنوي، الذي عُقد تحت رعاية قسم البحوث بالكلية. ووفرت الفعالية، التي استمرت ليوم واحد وعقدت يوم السبت الموافق 13 أبريل، للطلاب فرصة استعراض أعمالهم الأكاديمية.

The Student Council at the College of Islamic Studies (CIS) in Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), under the aegis of the CIS Research Division, successfully concluded its annual student research conference. The one-day event, which was held on Saturday, April 13, provided students with an opportunity to showcase the breadth of their academic works.
