The College of Science and Engineering (CSE) at HBKU is seeking applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor for the Mechanical Engineering Program. The position is in the areas of robotics and autonomous systems, with preference given to candidates with expertise in emerging technologies, novel theoretical developments, and practical applications.

  • Teach courses in undergraduate and graduate programs.
  • Supervise student research at various academic levels.
  • Conduct original scholarly research in robotics and autonomous systems.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative research in areas such as industrial robotics, autonomous systems, intelligent robotics, advanced sensors, human-machine interaction, and AI applications in robotics.

  • Doctorate in mechanical engineering or a closely related field from an accredited university.
  • Demonstrated scholarly record in robotics and smart systems.
  • Relevant Ph.D. dissertation and publications in reputable journals.
  • Strong commitment to teaching excellence and curriculum development.
  • Ability to establish and maintain a viable research program.
  • Engagement in professional and institutional service.
