The College of Science and Engineering (CSE) currently offers the largest selection of programs within the university and aspires to be a leading college committed to excellence in research and education with a major emphasis on interdisciplinary research and scholarship. It has established three divisions: the Division of Information and Computing Technology, the Division of Sustainable Development, and the Division of Engineering Management and Decisions Sciences. The Division of Science at the College of Science and Engineering (CSE) at HBKU invites applications for a full-time position of laboratory instructor in Mathematics. This position is integral to supporting the academic success of our students by fostering a collaborative and engaging learning environment. The Mathematics Lab Instructor will provide instructional support, facilitate hands-on learning experiences, and assist students in developing a deeper understanding of mathematical concepts.
- Supervise and manage the operations of the Mathematics lab.
- Provide individualized and group support to students on Mathematical topics of Pre-Calculus, Calculus I, and II.
- Assist in developing and delivering Python-based lab activities for mathematical modeling, simulations, and data analysis.
- Collaborate with staff and faculty to align lab activities with course objectives.
- Monitor student progress and provide feedback to support their academic growth.
- A degree in Mathematics, Mathematics education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Teaching or tutoring experience in mathematics at the post-secondary level is highly desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for teaching and a commitment to student success.
