As part of the IPDD project, we aim to provide high-quality tailored training on topics relating to the project within Qatar. The team has previously delivered training including:
Sadara Training
The team delivered a three-day course which sought to equip participants with an understanding of how digital technologies can impact law-making and policy adoption, as well as the emerging legislative and regulatory framework for their regulation. The central focus of which was on Artificial Intelligence (AI).
At the end of this training, participants were be able to:
- Discuss the main legal, ethical, and policy considerations raised by the development, implementation, and commercialization of digital technologies, with an emphasis on AI systems;
- Compare and contrast the main features of global regulatory regimes that address the development and implementation of digital technologies, with an emphasis on AI systems;
- Apply these insights to the design of legislation and regulation the MENA region and to Qatar, in particular.
