خلال مدة قصيرة، نالت كلية العلوم والهندسة التابعة لجامعة حمد بن خليفة سمعة طيبة كمؤسسة موثوقة في مجالات البحوث والابتكار والاستدامة. وقد احتفت العام الماضي بتخريج أول دفعة من طلبة الدكتوراه كحدث أكاديمي مهم. والآن انضم عضوان من هيئة التدريس بالكلية، وهما الدكتور طارق الأنصاري، أستاذ مساعد، والدكتور راجيش جوفيندان، زميل بحوث ما بعد الدكتوراه، إلى برنامج تسريع تطوير المشاريع التكنولوجية التابع لواحة قطر للعلوم والتكنولوجيا، وهو برنامج تنافسي يعمل على تحويل الأفكار الإبداعية إلى منتجات تلبي احتياجات السوق. 

In only a short time, HBKU’s College of Science and Engineering is being seen as an institution that is forging a reliable reputation in research, innovation, and sustainability. Last year, it celebrated its academic milestone with the graduation of its first cohort of PhD students. Now, two of its members, Dr. Tareq Al Ansari, Assistant Professor and Dr. Rajesh Govindan a post-doctorate research fellow, have been admitted into Qatar Science and Technology Park’s Accelerator Program – a competitive program that converts inventive ideas into products that address market demands. 

حصل الدكتور إخلاق سيدو، عضو مجلس أمناء جامعة حمد بن خليفة على جائزة الابتكار الكبرى في التعليم للعام 2018 عن دوره في تعزيز الابتكار في التعليم من معهد مهندسي الكهرباء والإلكترونيات (IEEE)، وهي أكبر جمعية على مستوى العالم والأكثر صيتًا في مجالات الهندسة والحاسبات والتكنولوجيا. 

Dr. Ikhlaq Sidhu, a member of the Board of Trustees at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), received the 2018 Major Education Innovation Award for his role in driving innovation in education from IEEE -- the world’s largest and most reputable association for engineering, computing, and technology professionals. The award was granted to him for his role as a faculty director and a chief scientist at Berkeley’s Sutardja Center for Entrepreneurship and Technology at the University of California.

تَعرِض الكليات والمعاهد البحثية التابعة لجامعة حمد بن خليفة مبادراتها البحثية المختلفة المرتبطة بالصحة في مؤتمر القمة العالمي للابتكار في الرعاية الصحية (ويش) 2018، الذي يُعقد حاليًا في مركز قطر الوطني للمؤتمرات. وفي ظل مشاركة خمسة كيانات تابعة للجامعة بفعالية في نسخة العام الحالي من مؤتمر "ويش"، تسجل جامعة حمد بن خليفة أقوى تواجد لها في المؤتمر حتى الآن. 

Colleges and research institutes of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) are showcasing their various health-related research initiatives at the World Innovation Summit for Health 2018 conference, currently underway at the Qatar National Convention Centre. With five entities being actively involved in this year’s summit, HBKU is witnessing its strongest presence at WISH to date.

يعمل أحد خريجي كلية العلوم والهندسة بجامعة حمد بن خليفة على تحسين سبل الوصول إلى التعليم في المناطق التي تواجه تحديات إنسانية حرجة، من خلال برنامج زمالة تابع لمنظمة الأمم المتحدة، يُعقد في مركز البيانات الإنسانية في مدينة لاهاي، ويخضع المشاركون فيه لمعايير اختيار تنافسية للغاية. 

A graduate of the College of Science and Engineering (CSE), part of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), is working to improve access to education in areas facing critical humanitarian challenges through a highly selective UN fellowship program at the Centre for Humanitarian Data in The Hague.
