What is it about the program, college and HBKU that attracted you to join?
I’m particularly attracted to the highly-focussed, intense, and unique scope of study offered by Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) Master of Science in Islamic Art, Architecture and Urbanism. As I see it, the program is a must for any ambitious graduate architect whose main goal is to gain more knowledge about the beautiful Islamic world and a better understanding of the history of Islamic architecture. Acquiring this knowledge from such a renowned university is a tremendously exciting prospect.
What are your aspirations for your time at HBKU?
I think joining a prestigious academic institution like HBKU is an outstanding opportunity for any student with a thirst for knowledge and determination to forge a successful career in their chosen field. Having been awarded a scholarship, I’m keen to make the most of this experience, expand my knowledge, and enjoy the journey in the process.
How do you feel an HBKU education will assist your career goals?
I absolutely believe HBKU will help me achieve my professional ambition as an architect. It will do this by further sharpening my learning and research skills, in both practical settings and the university’s wider learning environment. Ultimately, I believe a high-quality education from HBKU will help me excel in my chosen profession.
