Visit was part of USC’s Global Executive Doctor of Education Program
Hamad Bin Khalifa University’s (HBKU) College of Public Policy (CPP), hosted 17 students from the University of Southern California’s (USC) Rossier School of Education on a visit as part of their Global Executive Doctor of Education program.
The USC Rossier School of Education’s Global Executive Doctor of Education program takes its students on one-to-two-week intensive class sessions at various international destinations. With their session taking place in Doha, HBKU collaborated with USC to host the students for a visit to impart insights into public policy, innovation, and more from the country’s dynamic education sector.
To kick off the group’s visit, Dr. Evren Tok, Associate Professor and Assistant Dean for Community Engagement, HBKU’s College of Public Policy, gave a presentation about how education, innovation, and policy are often intertwined.
Afterwards, faculty, researchers, and students from several HBKU colleges joined the USC students for a networking session where they forged connections with one another and explored opportunities for future collaboration. The USC group then concluded their visit with a tour of the Minaretein building and Education City Mosque.
