HBKU's CPP Hosts Policy Co-Design Taster

A deep dive into the world of policy co-design

Participants at CPP’s Hadaba Taster Event

Workinton Alfardan Centre was the location for a recent taster event organized by the College of Public Policy’s (CPP) Hadaba Initiative.

Policy Futures: Hadaba Taster Event provided participants with an immersive showcase of tools and experiences that inform policy co-design. With a particular focus on health, sustainability, and education, the CPP’s Hadaba Team guided professionals from government departments, Qatar Foundation, local communities, and more, through various facets of policy co-design processes. These included a deep dive into strategic foresight practices, and advice for professionals on how to tune into weak policymaking signals.

Situated within the CPP, Hadaba fosters a vibrant community dedicated to breaking silos and building bridges within policymaking while crafting tools and solutions that resonate with diverse communities. The initiative reflects that challenges in policymaking regularly manifest as monumental hurdles and opportunities that are nevertheless waiting to be harnessed. With this in mind, Hadaba seeks to redefine the boundaries of policymaking by seamlessly intertwining public policy and design for the common good.
