Biography
Maha received her Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Science from Qatar University. Her research project abstract titled “Effect of Aging on the Vascular Endothelium was accepted for podium presentation at the 35th Annual International Peritoneal Dialysis Conference in New Orleans, LA. She later worked as a Senior Lab. Technologist at the Ministry of Interior, where her duties involved supervising high performing associates, developing and maintaining laboratory records. She has also specialized in various clinical laboratories including: immunohematology, clinical chemistry, immunology, microbiology, molecular biology, haematology, virology and histology.
- Maha’s current research project is to explore the role of C-terminally truncated alpha-synuclein in Parkinson's disease pathogenesis as a potential diagnostic or therapeutic approach.
