Dr Judith L. Swain

Judith L. Swain, MD received her BS from the University of California, Los Angeles and her MD from the University of California, San Diego. Dr Swain served as chair of the Department of Medicine at Stanford University from 1997 to 2005, and previously served on the medical faculties of the University of Pennsylvania and Duke University. From 2005 to 2006, she was the dean for translational medicine at the University of California, San Diego. In 2007 Dr Swain became the executive director of the Singapore Institute for Clinical Sciences within A*STAR, and the Lien Chow Professor of Medicine at the National University of Singapore. She is currently a director of the Burroughs Wellcome Fund and a member of the Council of the Institute of Medicine, National Academies of Science. She has served as a director or member of the scientific advisory boards for a number of biomedical technology companies and is co-founder of Synecor, LLC).
