Innovative Minds Shine at CPP's Policy Labs Event
A platform for students to showcase their public policy knowledge, skills and work
Musherib’s M7 Gallery became a hub of innovative ideas and forward-thinking as it hosted the College of Public Policy’s (CPP) much-anticipated Policy Labs event. The gathering marked the culmination of three months of intensive work by CPP students, who took on the challenge of designing experimental policy solutions for a range of pressing social issues.
The event showcased the diverse talents and ingenuity of CPP students, with each group representing a different policy lab. These labs tackled a variety of policy challenges including traffic regulations, inclusion of students with disabilities in education systems, employment opportunities for refugees, language policy intricacies, and strategies to enhance health and wellbeing.
A total of nine policy labs were presented, each a testament to the students' dedication and intellectual rigor. The projects were evaluated by a panel of 15 esteemed judges, bringing together a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the assessment process.
The highlight of the event was the awards ceremony, where the efforts and creativity of the students were recognized and celebrated. Among the accolades was the unique CPP Trivia Quiz, conducted on the interactive platform Kahoot, and the coveted People's Choice award, which reflected the audience's admiration and support for the innovative policy designs.
Policy Lab not only provided a platform for students to showcase their hard work but also highlighted the importance of practical, hands-on experience in shaping the policymakers of tomorrow. The event also set a new benchmark for academic excellence and real-world relevance in the field of public policy education.
